August 2019 Stats

Wow! Such a month of fitness change! The leg issues, the bike, the way the body changes when not running… yet, I’m grateful to report a pretty full month of activity! There was no running in August but a lot of cycling and the bike stats are below.

August 2019 Bike Stats

I was able to start taking a few 2 mile walks toward the end of August and I’m still hopeful to try some running mid-September. If you’re working through an injury, find what works for you and keep moving!

July 2019 Activity Summary

The month started on the mend from June’s injuries, however by mid-month a new issue arose in one of the knees. As I posted earlier, I had to switch to the bike as my outlet. Here are the July 2019 stats which are just fine. I’m still moving and getting better every day!

It’s early August now and I’m anticipating going back out for a run this coming week. While the bike is nice, I miss my running.

Onward!

June 2019 Running Stats

June was fraught with INJURIES!!!

Yet, he persists. 🙂

June 2019 Stats

If you read any of my posts in June you’ll know I had a wipe-out on the pavement that was pretty harsh. Before that I had pulled a muscle in my back while moving something too heavy around the yard. I had my share of rest and recovery periods with ice and heat packs on various body parts. I am very thankful to be starting July off in a much improved and healed state, let’s hope it continues!

May 2019 Running Stats

May 2019 had a few more trips to Indiana than usual. The Indiana routes I take have a lot more hills than our part of Illinois.

May 2019 Running Totals

The Illinois routes are also much straighter than Indiana as you can see in the examples below.

It was a good month overall, no injuries and the weather has cooperated most mornings. The temperature has been all over the place, but reasonable to adjust to as well. There have been some wet mornings, but it can be a lot worse!

March-April 2019 Run Stats

Here are the statistics for March and April 2019. Things are fairly consistent in spite of the varied Springtime weather. The weather fluctuates so much this time of year that I go from winter to summer gear overnight, literally! One day I’ll have 3-layers on in a below freezing wind-chill to the next day wearing short-sleeves only. I’m thankful to have the clothing options and gear to meet the challenge.
